H2: Workshop Overview

A focused one-day workshop introducing inner-child concepts, early relational experience, grounding, gentle reparenting, imagery and safe ethical boundaries. The workshop combines lecturer input, reflective discussion, practical exercises and structured self-directed learning. It is designed to support safe, ethical and professionally bounded application rather than replace full specialist training or statutory responsibilities.

2. Understanding the Inner Child
- Origins of inner-child theory
- Attachment and early relational experience
- Emotional overwhelm, self-criticism and boundary difficulties
- Guided reflective exercise
3. Grounding, Safety & Stabilisation
- Safety and pacing
- Grounding and stabilisation techniques
- Recognising emotional overwhelm
- Partner skills practice
4. Gentle Reparenting & Imagery Techniques
- Reparenting concepts
- Safe imagery and visualisation
- Strengthening the adult self
- Guided imagery practice
5. Ethics, Boundaries & Scope of Practice

H2: Assessment & Completion

Assessment is reflective and practice-focused. Learners may be asked to complete a reflective journal, short knowledge check or applied exercise. The purpose is to consolidate learning and confirm that workshop content can be used safely, ethically and within the learner's role.

H2: Professional Boundaries & Support

Participants should apply the material within their existing role, competence and organisational procedures. Where specialist clinical, safeguarding, medical, statutory or supervisory intervention is required, appropriate referral or consultation should be sought. Students should engage from a private environment and may contact the Registry Office for academic or administrative support.
