Student Moodle LMS

Moodle is the central learning platform for all enrolled ICPS College students. It supports structured course delivery by providing access to learning materials, module information, reading guidance, assessment resources, announcements and permitted recordings where appropriate.

Moodle access is linked to your enrolment, registered email address and course cohort. Students should never create duplicate Moodle accounts if a course is missing or a password reset email has not arrived.

Students use Moodle to access course resources, review module materials, read lecturer guidance, locate assessment information, view permitted recordings, receive announcements, download learning resources, support independent study, prepare for assessments and review released feedback where appropriate.

Moodle Access Support

If you cannot access Moodle, first confirm that you are using the correct login page, registered email address and password.

Check your spam and junk folders for account activation or password reset emails before requesting support.

If access problems continue, contact the ICPS College Helpdesk and include your full name, registered email address, course title, cohort or start date, the exact error message and a screenshot that does not display your password.

Helpdesk & Technical Support

The ICPS College Helpdesk is the primary support service for technical issues affecting students.

Use the Helpdesk if you experience Moodle login difficulties, missing course access, password reset problems, assignment upload issues, booking confirmation concerns, payment queries, broken website links, missing Zoom invitations, certificate queries, digital credential issues or general technical support.

Providing all relevant information in one request enables the Helpdesk team to investigate and resolve your query more efficiently.

Academic Registry Support

Academic Registry supports students throughout their educational journey by providing assistance with enrolment, student records, attendance, payments, assessment administration, certificates, progression and official documentation.

Contact Registry if your enquiry relates to course dates, course suitability, enrolment status, payment balances, invoices, attendance records, assessment administration, certification, student records, progression or College policies.

Booking & Enrolment

The booking page is the official location for reviewing upcoming programmes, selecting an intake and securing your place.

Before completing your booking, confirm the course title, cohort or start date, delivery format, tuition fee, required deposit, registered email address, student name and any relevant professional suitability requirements.

After payment, retain your booking confirmation email, payment receipt and booking reference for your records.

If payment has been processed but confirmation has not arrived, do not make another payment immediately. Check your spam folder first before contacting the Helpdesk.

Moodle Access After Booking

Booking confirmation and Moodle access are separate processes.

For many programmes, Moodle access becomes available following the first live online class, depending upon the arrangements for your particular course and cohort.

Before reporting a missing Moodle account, check your registered email address and spam folder.

Students should never create a second Moodle account, submit work through the wrong course or share another student's login credentials.

Passwords should never be sent through email, WhatsApp or the Helpdesk.

Live Online Learning

ICPS College programmes are delivered through live online lecturer-led teaching supported by structured independent learning.

Before every class, students should review Moodle resources, complete directed reading, check lecturer announcements and confirm their Zoom joining information.

It is recommended that students test their camera, microphone and internet connection in advance, join from a quiet private environment and contact the Helpdesk early if any joining information is missing.

Zoom Support

If you experience difficulty joining a live online class, first check that you are using the correct Zoom link, class date and registered student details.

Ensure that Zoom is fully updated and that your device permissions allow camera and microphone access.

If difficulties continue, provide the Helpdesk with your course title, class date, error message, device details and, where possible, a screenshot of the problem.

Assessment Resources

Assessment information is provided through Moodle, course documents, lecturer guidance and Academic Registry communications.

Students are encouraged to review assessment materials well in advance of submission deadlines.

Assessment guidance may include written assignment briefs, viva voce information, skills assessment guidance, submission instructions, file format requirements, word counts, academic integrity guidance, marking criteria, moderation information and feedback arrangements.

Always follow the assessment instructions provided specifically for your own programme.

Assignment Submission

Before submitting any assessment, carefully confirm that the correct document has been prepared, opens successfully and matches the required file format.

Check the assessment title, submission deadline and filename before uploading.

Open the final document one final time, remove tracked changes where appropriate, save a secure backup and upload the assessment well before the deadline whenever possible.

After submission, confirm that Moodle displays a successful submission status and retain a screenshot of the confirmation for your records.

Late Submission Support

Submitting a Helpdesk ticket records a technical issue but does not automatically approve an assessment extension or late submission.

Where a genuine technical issue occurs before the deadline, record the time, take screenshots, keep the final assessment file and submit a Helpdesk ticket immediately.

Where an academic decision is required, contact Academic Registry through the appropriate formal process.

Skills Assessments

Some ICPS College programmes include a live online skills assessment.

Students should review the assessment format, technical requirements, consent arrangements, recording information and assessment criteria well in advance.

Before the assessment, confirm Zoom access, test your equipment, prepare a suitable private environment and contact the College early if technical issues arise.

Viva Voce Assessments

Where a viva voce assessment forms part of your programme, review the relevant course guidance carefully.

Students should revise learning outcomes, review submitted assignments, prepare key theoretical concepts, test Zoom functionality and organise any permitted notes before the examination.

Grades & Feedback

Grades and feedback may be released through Moodle, Registry communication or another authorised College process.

Results are normally subject to marking, moderation and academic quality assurance before final release.

If feedback appears to be missing, first check the correct course, assessment activity, grades area, downloads folder and any recent Registry communications.

Technical issues should be reported to the Helpdesk, while questions concerning academic judgement, marking or appeals should follow the appropriate academic procedure.

Certificates & Digital Credentials

Certificates and digital credentials are issued following successful completion of attendance, assessment and administrative requirements.

Contact Academic Registry if your certificate has not arrived, your name is incorrect, a course title is inaccurate, a digital credential cannot be accessed or replacement documentation is required.

College Policies

The ICPS College Policy Library promotes transparency and helps students understand their academic and professional responsibilities.

Policies cover areas including GDPR, copyright, complaints, safeguarding, academic conduct, confidentiality, record keeping, data protection, professional behaviour and student responsibilities.

Students are encouraged to familiarise themselves with relevant policies throughout their studies.

Copyright & Course Materials

Course recordings, presentations, lecture notes, Moodle resources, handbooks and assessment materials remain the intellectual property of ICPS College and individual lecturers unless stated otherwise.

These resources are provided solely for authorised educational use.

Students must not share login details, distribute recordings, upload protected course materials publicly, reproduce teaching resources without permission or share assessment materials outside their authorised educational context.

GDPR & Data Protection

Students are expected to handle personal, academic and professional information responsibly.

Support requests, assessments and screenshots should never contain unnecessary personal information.

Do not send passwords, payment card details, confidential client material, another student's personal information or unredacted sensitive documents through standard communication channels.

Student Conduct & Professionalism

ICPS College expects all students to communicate respectfully and behave professionally throughout live classes, Moodle activities, WhatsApp groups, email communication, assessment activities and all interactions with fellow students and staff.

Students are expected to maintain confidentiality, professional boundaries, academic integrity, respectful communication, inclusivity and responsible use of College resources.

Accessibility & Reasonable Adjustments

Students requiring accessibility support or reasonable adjustments are encouraged to contact the College as early as possible.

Support may include accessible documents, screen-reader compatibility, captions where available, assessment arrangements, participation adjustments, assistive technology guidance and alternative learning formats where appropriate.

Accreditation & Professional Development

ICPS College programmes support continuing professional development across counselling, psychotherapy, psychology and allied helping professions.

Prospective students may independently verify the College's accreditation through the CPD Standards Office provider listing.

Professional Scope

Completion of an ICPS College programme supports continuing professional development, specialist education and reflective practice.

It does not automatically confer a protected professional title, statutory authority or permission to practise beyond an individual's existing qualifications, competence or recognised professional scope.

Students should always confirm professional recognition and membership requirements with the relevant professional body where applicable.
