Anger is a fundamental human emotion with adaptive, protective, and clinical dimensions. When anger becomes dysregulated, it can significantly impact relationships, wellbeing, and physical health. The Professional Diploma in Anger Management and Emotional Regulation at ICPS College equips practitioners with the theoretical understanding and clinical tools to work effectively with anger across a range of client presentations.
This programme explores anger not merely as a behavioural problem to be managed, but as an emotionally meaningful experience requiring psychological understanding, compassionate engagement, and evidence-based intervention.
Programme Overview
The ten-module programme covers the psychology and neuroscience of anger, the relationship between anger and other emotions (shame, fear, grief), anger and trauma, anger in relational and domestic contexts, cognitive-behavioural approaches to anger regulation, mindfulness-based emotional regulation, working with men and anger, cultural dimensions of anger, and ethical practice in this area. Sixty CPD credits are awarded on completion.
